Local Motion of Boston Sponsors Marine Corps “Fill The Bus” Campaign

During the Christmas season, a great many Boston businesses become involved with charitable activities which are designed to help underprivileged individuals, and to spread a little cheer during the holiday season. One such notable effort is already underway, and is sponsored by Local Motion of Boston, a local Bus company that provides a number of transportation solutions, for groups anywhere between three and three thousand. If you should be in need of transportation for your office group or for a family get-together at this time of year, please contact us and we’ll be glad to arrange whatever you need. As a member of the Boston community, Local Motion of Boston has undertaken this ‘Fill the Bus’ initiative to demonstrate its civic-mindedness, and its appreciation of the general Boston area.

Purpose of the event

The idea of this event is to collect toys for tots from people who may be much better off, and put those toys in the hands of underprivileged children, who may not otherwise have the means to enjoy Christmas presents. The toys for tots program encourages Boston residents to contribute new and unused toys to the program, so they can be redistributed to the some of the less well-off youngsters living in the region. Here is the schedule of the toy collection events, so that you can find the most opportune venue and the best time to drop off your toys for tots, and that will allow them to be given to needy children.

Fill the Bus

Local Motion of Boston feels a responsibility to give back to the community which has made us so successful in the area, and which we have enjoyed serving for so many years. At this time of year, when everyone is thinking about charitable acts and about helping less privileged individuals, we want to show how much this area means to us by giving back and helping out our fellow citizens.

If you’ve been considering participation in this event, we urge you to purchase a new toy and contribute, in order to make some local child’s holiday a much better one. We will have one of our buses on hand to collect all the toys, and it is our hope that each of these buses will be filled to the top with toys for needy children, because the more toys we collect, the more children we’ll be able to help.

This time of year only happens once, and for many people it’s the only time of year where they consider their fellow community members who may  be outside the confines of their own families. Please help make a child’s Christmas more meaningful by contributing a new and unused toy to this very worthwhile cause. Just imagine the joy on the face of a needy child when he/she opens up a brand new gift on Christmas morning, especially if they really weren’t expecting anything.
