How Local Motion of Boston is Adapting To COVID-19

As COVID-19 is moving quickly from state to state, Local Motion of Boston has stepped up early to help in the fight. We understand the safety measures being put in place by local governments to have non-essential travel locked down. We understand the need to keep our staff and their families safe, and we know that our customers’ safety is of the most significant concern. 

A Company That Cares

Local Motion of Boston is keen to impress upon our customers that we are taking the threat of COVID-19 exceptionally seriously. We are a company that puts its employees, their families, and our valued customers first, so we have taken some stringent measures to ensure that we are protected at this unprecedented time. 

At this moment, we are only running three of our shuttle buses – that’s it. We understand the need for essential and frontline workers to get where they need to be, and we are honored to provide this necessary service. Our company takes great pride every day by providing clean buses, and clean buses are even more critical at this time. We have a skeletal staff running Local Motion of Boston from home to keep the company running. We also have highly-trained cleaners and mechanics supporting our shuttles for essential businesses. 

Vigilance In Motion

Our essential cleaners and mechanics are working diligently on bus maintenance to ensure that vital shuttle services continue for our customers who need it. Our staff is working on bus inspections and bus sterilization to ensure that our last shuttle buses are efficient and clean at all times. We need to make sure that we are ready to roll for our essential retail and healthcare workers, and when regular travel resumes once more, we want to be equipped.

We offer total vigilance to our customers, and while we have sent a lot of communications to our employees and customers, they were valid when we were in full operation. Our decision to take our service down to three clean buses running is for the benefit of our customers and employees alike. We are living in stressful and worrisome times, but if Local Motion of Boston can adapt and overcome to enable our essential workers to keep fighting the good fight, we are here for you all 100%.

COVID-19 has dismantled many businesses, and there have been many lives lost as a result.
