Vaccine Transportation
The vaccination of Americans is now in full swing, and thousands of individuals are now being vaccinated every single day. Those numbers would be even greater if they were not held down to some extent by the availability of the vaccine itself. Now there are three possible vaccines that can be taken by people, so availability has been on the rise recently. That means more and more people will require transportation to clinics and vaccination sites where the vaccination can be administered.
Seniors are particularly in need of such transportation since many do not drive and many live alone and have no other means of transportation. Local Motion of Boston has stepped into the fray to offer group transportation, so the critical business of vaccination can be expedited.
Local Motion Buses
Local Motion of Boston manages a fleet of well-maintained buses, each of Our 55 passenger coaches will accommodate 27 passengers at 50% capacity, so as to maintain social distancing among passengers. This makes for a very comfortable ride. Each one of our buses is cleaned and sanitized using an electrostatic sprayer which dispenses a hospital-grade sanitizer. To further ensure sanitary conditions, hand sanitizers are placed at the entrance of all of our buses for the safety of passengers and drivers. All passengers will also be required to wear a face covering. All buses have been equipped with Merv 8 filters that filter the air every ten minutes.
Local Motion Bus Drivers
All of our drivers have been screened so as to ensure that they keep safety in mind as a major concern, and also so that we hire only the most courteous and professional individuals. When getting on the bus, it may be necessary for a senior to get help in boarding, and our helpful drivers are always ready to deliver whatever assistance might be needed. Our buses are capable of “kneeling” which means the passenger’s first entry step is lowered to 9 inches.
For seniors with limited mobility or with any other kind of physical disability, this can make it much easier to ascend the few steps of the bus.
We offer ADA-accessible buses, which means any passengers in wheelchairs can be accommodated in the same way that fully ambulatory riders can.
Local Motion will review your specifications regarding driving your group to their vaccine appointment destination and put together a formal reservation plan that includes every detail and special requirement. At Local Motion of Boston, we are sensitive to your transportation expenditures, and will always offer you options based on economies of scale and better efficiencies to help you stay on budget.
